We were traveling with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when our provisions ran low and we became destitute. We came upon some camels whose udders were tied shut with strips of tree bark, and the men rushed forward to milk them.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, "These camels may well be the sustenance of a Muslim household. Would any of you like it if others came upon your provisions and took them?"Then he said, "If you must do it, then drink but do not carry any away."
حدثنا خلف قال حدثنا عباد بن عباد قال حدثنا الحجاج بن أرطاة عن الطهوي عن ذهيل
كنا في سفر مع رسول الله ﷺ فأرملنا وأنفضنا فآتينا على إبل مصرورة بلحاء الشجر فابتدرها القوم ليحلبوها فقال لهم رسول الله ﷺ إن هذه عسى أن يكون فيها قوت أهل بيت من المسلمين أتحبون لو أنهم أتوا على ما في أزوادكم فأخذوه ثم قال إن كنتم لا بد فاعلين فاشربوا ولا تحملوا

Its isnad is hasan. Al-Tuhawi is Sulayt bin Abdullah, who was deemed trustworthy despite some weakness attributed to him, and Bukhari said, "Unknown." Dhuhayl is Ibn Awf bin Shammakh Tamimi, who was deemed trustworthy despite some criticism of him.The hadith is found in Ibn Majah 2/772, no. 2303, in the Book of Trade, on the prohibition against taking anything from it. Busiri graded it daif in Zawaid.
