Abu Hurairah reported,

People, Allah has prescribed for you, through the words of your Prophet ﷺ, that the prayer be four when you are at home and two when you are traveling.

أيها الناس إن الله عز وجل فرض لكم على لسان نبيكم ﷺ الصلاة في الحضر أربعا وفي السفر ركعتين
