The Prophet ﷺ said, "When Satan hears the caller summoning people to prayer, he turns and flees, breaking wind so that he does not hear the call. Once the call is finished, he returns and whispers. Then when the iqamah is begun, he does the same again."
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو قال حدثنا زائدة حدثنا سليمان الأعمش عن أبي صالح
عن النبي ﷺ قال إذا سمع الشيطان المنادي ينادي بالصلاة ولى وله ضراط حتى لا يسمع الصوت فإذا فرغ رجع فوسوس فإذا أخذ في الإقامة فعل مثل ذلك
Its isnad is sahih, and it has already appeared at 8124. Ibn Khuzayma related it, 1/204 no. 392, and similarly Muslim, 1/290 no. 388, and likewise Bukhari, 2/84 no. 608 in Fath al-Bari, in the chapter on adhan, on the virtue of the call to prayer.
