The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one endures the hardship and severity of Madinah without my being an intercessor or witness for him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا سليمان بن داود قال أخبرنا إسماعيل قال أخبرني العلاء عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يصبر على لأواء المدينة وشدتها أحد إلا كنت له شفيعا يوم القيامة أو شهيدا
Its isnad is sahih, 7852. Muslim narrated something similar, 2/1004, no. 1378, in Hajj, "Encouragement to Reside in Madinah," and Tirmidhi, 5/722, no. 3924, in Virtues, "The Merit of Madinah," and he said, hasan sahih.
