The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of the Confederates, "They distracted us from the middle prayer, the Asr prayer. May Allah fill their graves and their houses with fire."He then prayed it between the two evening prayers, between Maghrib and Isha. Abu Muawiya said on one occasion, "meaning between Maghrib and Isha."
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن مسلم بن صبيح عن شتير بن شكل
قال رسول الله ﷺ يوم الأحزاب شغلونا عن الصلاة الوسطى صلاة العصر ملأ الله قبورهم وبيوتهم نارا قال ثم صلاها بين العشاءين بين المغرب والعشاء وقال أبو معاوية مرة يعني بين المغرب والعشاء
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of 617 with its isnad and wording, except for what he said at the end, "Abu Muawiya then said," and so on. Ibn Kathir mentioned it in his tafsir, 1:578, quoting from the Musnad. See also 990, 994, 1036.
