The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you gets up from his seat and then returns to it, he has the greater right to it."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ووهيب قالا حدثنا سهيل عن أبيه
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا قام أحدكم من مجلسه ثم رجع إليه فهو أحق به
Its chain of transmission is sahih, it was previously mentioned in 7558, and Muslim reported it, 4/1715 no. 2179, as did Ibn Majah, 2/1224 no. 3717.
