Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no owner of a treasure who fails to pay its zakat except that he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection along with his treasure, and plates will be heated for him in the Fire of Hell, then his forehead, his side, and his back will be branded with them, until Allah judges between His servants on a Day whose measure is fifty thousand years of what you count. Then he will see his path, either to Paradise or to the Fire. There is no owner of camels who fails to pay their zakat except that he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection along with his camels in the most numerous state they ever were, and he will be laid flat on his face on a vast level plain. Whenever the last of them has passed, the first will be brought back over him, until Allah judges between His servants on a Day whose measure is fifty thousand years of what you count. Then he will see his path, either to Paradise or to the Fire. There is no owner of sheep who fails to pay their zakat except that he will be brought along with his sheep on the Day of Resurrection in the most numerous state they ever were, and he will be laid flat on his face on a vast level plain. They will trample him with their hooves and gore him with their horns. Whenever the last of them has passed, the first will be brought back over him, until Allah judges between His servants on a Day whose measure is fifty thousand years of what you count. Then he will see his path, either to Paradise or to the Fire."Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about horses?"He replied, "Horses have goodness tied to their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection. Horses are of three kinds. For one man they are a reward, for another they are a covering, and upon another they are a burden. As for the one for whom they are a reward, he is the man who keeps them and reserves them for the cause of Allah. Whatever they consume in their bellies is a reward for him. If they graze freely in a meadow or two, he is rewarded for every step they take. If a stream lies in their path and they drink from it, he is rewarded for every drop they swallow," until he even mentioned the reward earned through their dung and urine."As for the one for whom they are a covering, he is the man who keeps them out of dignity, beautification, and honor, while not neglecting their due upon their backs and in their bellies, in his hardship and his ease.As for the one upon whom they are a burden, he is the man who keeps them out of arrogance, pride, showing off to people, and ostentation."Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about donkeys?"He replied, "Nothing has been revealed to me concerning them except this comprehensive, singular verse, 'So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it' [Zalzalah 99:7–8]."
