The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every prophet has a prayer that is granted. I wish, if Allah wills, to reserve my prayer as intercession for my nation on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا علي بن بحر حدثنا هشام بن يوسف أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لكل نبي دعوة فأريد إن شاء الله أن أختبئ دعوتي يوم القيامة شفاعة لأمتي
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Bukhari related it in 9/170, in the Book of Tawhid, on His saying, "Say, if the sea were" [Kahf 18:109], and Muslim in the Book of Faith, 345, chapter on the Prophet's saving his intercession. It has already appeared at 7700 and 8117, and will appear at 1364, 15540, 10260, 9274, and 9117.
