The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who cares for an orphan, whether his own or someone else's, I and he will be like these two in Paradise, provided he is mindful of Allah." Malik gestured with his index and middle fingers.
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari reported it, 8/10, in the book of Manners, chapter on the virtue of one who supports an orphan. Muslim reported it, 4/2287, number 2983, in the book of Renunciation, chapter on kindness to the widow, the poor, and the orphan. And Abu Dawud reported it, 4/246, number 1969, in the book of Manners, chapter on one who takes in an orphan.I say, this is an essential condition for any deed that leads to Paradise, that one fears Allah.
