The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever attributes to me what I did not say, let him take his seat in the Fire. Whoever issues a religious ruling without knowledge, the sin of that ruling falls upon the one who issued it. And whoever is consulted by his brother and advises him to do something, while believing that the right course lies elsewhere, has betrayed him."
