A man came to Abu Hurayrah and asked, "Are you the one who forbids people to pray with their sandals on?"He replied, "No. But by the Lord of this sacred place, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray facing this very station with his sandals on, and he left wearing them. And the Prophet ﷺ forbade fasting on Friday unless it falls within other days of fasting."

أتى رجل أبا هريرة فقال أنت الذي تنهى الناس أن يصلوا وعليهم نعالهم قال لا ولكن ورب هذه الحرمة لقد رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي إلى هذا المقام وعليه نعلاه وانصرف وهما عليه ونهى النبي ﷺ عن صيام يوم الجمعة إلا أن يكون في أيام
