The Prophet ﷺ said, "The structure of Paradise is built with one brick of gold and one brick of silver."
حدثنا سليمان بن داود وهو أبو داود الطيالسي حدثنا عمران عن قتادة عن العلاء بن زياد العدوي
عن النبي ﷺ قال بناء الجنة لبنة من ذهب ولبنة من فضة
Its isnad is sahih. Ala is Ibn Ziyad, Abu Nasr Adawi, who narrated from his father, Abu Hurairah, and Imran bin Husayn, while Qatada, Matar Warraq, and Hisham bin Hassan narrated from him. He was devout, obedient, and given to much weeping. He has narrations from Abu Hurairah. He died in the year 94.Munziri narrated it in Targhib wal-Tarhib, with this wording, from Abu Hurairah, who said, "We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, tell us about Paradise, what is its structure?' He said, 'A brick of gold and a brick of silver, its mortar is musk, its pebbles are pearls, and its soil is saffron. Whoever enters it lives in bliss and never suffers, abides forever and never dies, his clothes never wear out, and his youth never fades.'"Tirmidhi, Bazzar, and Tabarani in Awsat narrated it, as did Ibn Hibban in his Sahih.Ibn Abu Dunya narrated from Abu Hurairah, as his own statement, "The wall of Paradise is a brick of gold and a brick of silver, its steps are ruby and pearl, the pebbles of its rivers are pearls, and its soil is saffron."The meaning of "radrad" is pebbles, or small pebbles.
