When this verse was revealed, "And warn your closest kinsfolk" [Shuara 26:214], the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called the people of Quraysh, addressing them both generally and specifically. He said, "People of Quraysh, save yourselves from the Fire. People of Bani Kaab bin Luayy, save yourselves from the Fire. People of Bani Abd Manaf, save yourselves from the Fire. People of Bani Hashim, save yourselves from the Fire. Children of Abdul-Muttalib, save yourselves from the Fire. Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad, save yourself from the Fire. By Allah, I have no power to benefit you against Allah in anything, except that you have ties of kinship which I will keep moist with their due moisture."
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو قال حدثنا زائدة حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمير عن موسى بن طلحة
لما نزلت هذه الآية {وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين} دعا رسول الله ﷺ قريشا فعم وخص فقال يا معشر قريش أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا معشر بني كعب بن لؤي أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا معشر بني عبد مناف أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا معشر بني هاشم أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا بني عبد المطلب أنقذوا أنفسكم من النار يا فاطمة بنت محمد أنقذي نفسك من النار فإني والله ما أملك لكم من الله شيئا إلا أن لكم رحما سأبلها ببلالها
