Abu Hurairah reported,

I was present when the delegation of Abdul-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He forbade them from drinking out of these vessels, the green earthenware jars, the gourds, the pitch-coated containers, and the hollowed wood (Naqi).A man from the group stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, the people have no other vessels."I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as though he felt pity for the people, and he said, "Drink whatever is wholesome for you, but when it turns foul, leave it alone."

عن أبي هريرة قال

إني لشاهد لوفد عبد القيس قدموا على رسول الله ﷺ قال فنهاهم أن يشربوا في هذه الأوعية الحنتم والدباء والمزفت والنقير قال فقام إليه رجل من القوم فقال يا رسول الله إن الناس لا ظروف لهم قال فرأيت رسول الله ﷺ كأنه يرثي للناس قال فقال اشربوا ما طاب لكم فإذا خبث فذروه
