A man freed a share he owned in a slave, and the Prophet ﷺ upheld the emancipation and required him to pay the remaining value of the slave.

أن رجلا أعتق شقصا من مملوك فأجاز النبي ﷺ عتقه وغرمه بقية ثمنه
