Abu Hurairah reported,

I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "No man loves to meet Allah except that Allah loves to meet him, and no man hates to meet Allah except that Allah hates to meet him."So I went to Ayesha and said, "If what Abu Hurairah has reported from the Prophet ﷺ is true, then we are doomed."She replied, "The one who is doomed is only the one who is doomed by what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. What is it?"He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No man loves to meet Allah except that Allah loves to meet him, and no man hates to meet Allah except that Allah hates to meet him.'"She said, "I too bear witness that I heard him say that. But do you know what that means? It is when the chest rattles, the gaze fixes upward, the skin shudders, and the fingers contract. At that moment, whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him."

حدثنا عفان حدثنا أبو عوانة عن مطرف عن عامر قال قال شريح بن هانئ بينما أنا في مسجد المدينة إذ

قال أبو هريرة

سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول لا يحب رجل لقاء الله عز وجل إلا أحب الله لقاءه ولا أبغض رجل لقاء الله إلا أبغض الله لقاءه فأتيت عائشة فقلت لئن كان ما ذكر أبو هريرة عن النبي ﷺ حقا لقد هلكنا فقالت إنما الهالك من هلك فيما قال رسول الله ﷺ وما ذاك قال قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا يحب رجل لقاء الله إلا أحب الله لقاءه ولا أبغض رجل لقاء الله إلا أبغض الله لقاءه قالت وأنا أشهد أني سمعته يقول ذلك فهل تدري لم ذلك إذا حشرج الصدر وطمح البصر واقشعر الجلد وتشنجت الأصابع فعند ذلك من أحب لقاء الله أحب الله لقاءه ومن أبغض لقاء الله أبغض الله لقاءه
