The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself in Paradise, and there was a woman performing ablution beside a palace. I asked, 'Whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It belongs to Umar bin Khattab.' Then I remembered your sense of honor and turned away."Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, was sitting there with the gathering when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said this. Upon hearing it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Umar wept and said, "May my father be sacrificed for you, Messenger of Allah, would I feel jealous concerning you?"
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن صالح قال ابن شهاب حدثني ابن المسيب أن
إن رسول الله ﷺ قال بينما أنا نائم رأيتني في الجنة فإذا امرأة توضأ إلى جنب قصر فقلت لمن هذا القصر قالوا لعمر بن الخطاب فذكرت غيرتك فوليت مدبرا وعمر رحمه الله حين يقول ذلك رسول الله ﷺ جالس عنده مع القوم فبكى عمر حين سمع ذلك من رسول الله ﷺ قال أعليك بأبي أنت أغار يا رسول الله
