The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever buys food should not sell it until he has taken full possession of it."
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب حدثني الضحاك بن عثمان في سنة إحدى وخمسين خرجت مع سفيان قال حدثني بكير بن عبد الله بن الأشج عن سليمان بن يسار
قال رسول الله ﷺ من اشترى طعاما فلا يبعه حتى يستوفيه
Its isnad is sahih. Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Ashaj narrated from Abu Umama bin Sahl and Ibn Musayab, and narrated from him were his son Makhrama, Layth, and countless others. He was a reliable, leading authority, and he died in the year 127.
