The Prophet ﷺ said, "An old man grows older and his body grows weaker, yet his heart remains young in its love for two things, a long life and wealth."
حدثنا سريج حدثنا فليح عن هلال بن علي عن عطاء بن يسار
عن النبي ﷺ قال الشيخ يكبر ويضعف جسمه وقلبه شاب على حب اثنين طول العمر والمال
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Bukhari related it in the chapter on Riqaq from Ali bin Madini, Muslim related it in the chapter on zakat from Abu Tahir bin Sarh and Harmala bin Yahya from Zuhayr bin Harb, Tirmidhi related it in the chapter on Zuhd from Qutayba, and Ibn Majah related it in the chapter on the reward for tasbih from Abu Marwan.
