The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to encircle his loved one with a collar of fire, let him place a collar of gold upon him. Whoever wishes to bracelet his loved one with a bracelet of fire, let him bracelet him with a bracelet of gold. Whoever wishes to ring his loved one with a ring of fire, let him ring him with a ring of gold. But stick to silver, play with it as you like, play with it as you like."

عن النبي ﷺ قال من أحب أن يطوق حبيبه طوقا من نار فليطوقه طوقا من ذهب ومن أحب أن يسور حبيبه سوارا من نار فليسوره بسوار من ذهب ومن أحب أن يحلق حبيبه حلقة من نار فليحلقه حلقة من ذهب ولكن عليكم بالفضة العبوا بها لعبا العبوا بها لعبا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Nafi bin Ayyash, with a "ya" and a dotted "sheen", is also said to be Nafi bin Abbas, with a "ba" and an undotted "seen". He is Nafi, the freedman of Abu Qatada, whose hadith appeared previously at 7666, attributed to Abu Qatada, though he was not actually his freedman. Rather, his patroness was Aqeela bint Talq. Here in the Musnad she is called Abla, and the manuscript agrees with this, but the correct name is what we have transferred from Tahdheeb 10:405-406, and it will appear correctly at number 8897.
