Its chain of transmission is daif. As for Jubayr bin Abu Salih, Ibn Hajar mentioned in al-Tajil that in some copies of the Musnad it appears as Bashir instead of Jubayr, while in the manuscript it is Jubayr, and it appears from his discussion that he favors it being Jubayr, who is in any case majhul (unknown). Al-Hariisah is spelled with the letter ha (ح), whereas in the original text it appears with jim (ج), which is an error, and it refers to a sheep that is stolen at night. This Jubayr has been identified as Ibn Nufaylah, as it appears in the printed edition and in al-Tajil, but in the manuscript it is Ibn Buqaylah.
