He used to say, "How will you fare when you no longer collect a single Dinar or dirham?"He was asked, "Do you really see that happening, Abu Hurairah?"He replied, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Hurairah, yes, on the authority of the Truthful and Trusted One."They asked, "And why would that be?"He said, "The covenant of Allah and the covenant of His Messenger will be violated, so Allah will harden the hearts of the people of the covenant, and they will withhold what is in their hands. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Hurairah, this will surely happen twice."

أنه كان يقول كيف أنتم إذا لم تجتبوا دينارا ولا درهما فقيل له وهل ترى ذلك كائنا يا أبا هريرة فقال والذي نفس أبي هريرة بيده عن قول الصادق المصدوق قالوا وعم ذاك قال تنتهك ذمة الله وذمة رسوله فيشد الله قلوب أهل الذمة فيمنعون ما بأيديهم والذي نفس أبي هريرة بيده ليكونن مرتين
