The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that a man drink while standing, that he drink directly from the mouth of a waterskin, and that he prevent his neighbor from placing a wooden beam upon his wall.
حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثنا حماد عن أيوب عن عكرمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى أن يشرب الرجل قائما وعن الشرب من في السقاء وأن يمنع الرجل جاره أن يضع خشبة في حائطه
Diya narrated it from Anas, and Suyuti indicated in Jami Saghir that it is sahih.The second part of the hadith, which is the prohibition against drinking from a waterskin, was narrated by Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah from Ibn Abbas, and Suyuti indicated in Jami Saghir that it is sahih. Bukhari and Muslim also narrated it.
