Suyuti mentioned this hadith in Jami Saghir, attributing its narration only to Musnad Imam Ahmad on the authority of Abu Hurairah, and he noted that it is a hasan hadith. It was also narrated with the wording, "The Hour will not come until the happiest of people in this world is Lukaa bin Lukaa." This was narrated in Musnad Ahmad, and Tirmidhi and Diya narrated it on the authority of Huzaifa, and Suyuti noted that it is sahih.
