The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever follows a funeral procession, helps carry the bier, takes part in lowering the body into the grave, and remains seated until permitted to leave will return with two qirats of reward, each qirat like the mountain of Uhud."
حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن عبد الله بن هبيرة عن أبي تميم الجيشاني قال كتب إلي عبد الله بن هرمز مولى من أهل المدينة يذكر
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من تبع جنازة فحمل من علوها وحمل في قبرها وقعد حتى يؤذن له آب بقيراطين من الأجر كل قيراط مثل أحد
