The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the closest of all people to Isa the son of Maryam, in this world and in the next."They asked, "How is that, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "The prophets are brothers by one father. Their mothers are different, but their religion is one, and there was no prophet between us."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ أنا أولى الناس بعيسى ابن مريم في الأولى والآخرة قالوا كيف يا رسول الله قال الأنبياء إخوة من علات وأمهاتهم شتى ودينهم واحد فليس بيننا نبي
This is a sahih hadith. Bukhari related it in volume 4, page 166, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra, from Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the closest of people to Isa bin Maryam in this world and the next. The prophets are paternal brothers with different mothers, but their religion is one."Muslim also related it in volume 7, page 96, "Muhammad bin Rafi told us, Abdul-Razzaq told us, Mamar told us, from Hammam bin Munabbih, who said, this is what Abu Hurairah told us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and he mentioned several hadiths, among them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the closest of people to Isa bin Maryam..." and so on, the rest of the hadith.Abu Dawud also related it in the Book of Sunnah, from Ahmad bin Salih.
