The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of the women who ride camels are the women of Quraysh. They are the most tender toward a child in his infancy and the most attentive to a husband concerning what he owns."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ خير نساء ركبن الإبل نساء قريش أحناه على ولد في صغره وأرعاه على زوج في ذات يده
This is a sahih hadith, narrated by Muslim, volume 7, page 182, and narrated by Bukhari in the Book of Expenditures on the authority of Ali, and in the Book of Hadiths of the Prophets, with the wording, "The best women who ever rode camels are the women of Quraysh. They are the most tender toward their children in their childhood, and the most watchful over a husband's property under his care."This hadith points to the merit of the women of Quraysh, and the merit of these qualities mentioned. The meaning of "his property under his care" is his affairs entrusted to him, and the meaning of "the most tender" is the most compassionate. In another version narrated by Muslim, the wording is "the righteous among the women of Quraysh." Qastallani commented on this, saying that the mention of the child is meant to indicate that she is tender toward any child, even if it is her husband's child by another woman.
