The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, the treasure that one of you hoarded will take the form of a bald-headed serpent." He went on, "Its owner will flee from it while it chases after him, calling out, 'I am your treasure.'" He continued, "By Allah, it will keep after him until he stretches out his hand, and the serpent takes it into its mouth."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ يكون كنز أحدكم يوم القيامة شجاعا أقرع قال ويفر منه صاحبه ويطلبه ويقول أنا كنزك قال والله لن يزال يطلبه حتى يبسط يده فيلقمها فاه
This one is like the one before it, a sahih hadith, and it is in the Sahifa Mufrada under number 72. Bukhari related it [9/32 T / 12:294 Fath] through the route of the Sahifa, together with the hadith preceding it, but with the order reversed, as we noted just now. Muslim did not relate it, neither through the route of the Sahifa nor otherwise. Bukhari also related its meaning at 3:214-215, and 8:173 Fath, from the narration of Abu Salih from Abu Hurairah.
