The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is a form of injustice for a wealthy man to delay repaying what he owes, and when one of you is referred to a solvent man for payment, let him accept the referral."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ إن من الظلم مطل الغني وإذا أتبع أحدكم على مليء فليتبع
This is a sahih hadith, found in the Individual Sheet, number 62. Muslim also narrated it [34:5 S / 1:460 Bulaq], transmitting it through the route of the Sheet without mentioning its wording, and likewise narrated it through the route of Isa bin Yunus from Maamar, alongside the narration of Abdul-Razzaq from Maamar, referring its wording in both chains back to his earlier narration through the route of Malik from Abu Zinad and from Aaraj from Abu Hurairah. This has already passed with wording similar to this from the narration of Aaraj at 7332 and 7446, and it has already passed in abridged form from the narration of Abdul-Ala from Maamar from Hammam. He narrated it in full at 4:381 Fath from the narration of Malik from Abu Zinad from Aaraj, then again at 4:383 Fath from the narration of Aaraj as well.
