The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every prophet has a prayer that is answered for him, and I wish, if Allah wills, to hold back my prayer so that it may serve as intercession for my community on the Day of Resurrection."
وقال رسول الله ﷺ لكل نبي دعوة تستجاب له وأريد إن شاء الله أن أؤخر دعوتي شفاعة لأمتي إلى يوم القيامة
This hadith is also sahih, and it is in the Individual Manuscript under number 19, and it is in the tafsir of Abdul-Razzaq, page 150, from Mamar, from Hammam, with similar wording. The two Shaikhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not narrate it through the route of the manuscript, though they did narrate it through other paths. It has already passed with similar wording as number 7700, through the narration of Qasim bin Muhammad from Abu Hurairah, and we detailed there its sourcing and its paths, and pointed to this narration.
