The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If faith were at the Pleiades, a man from Persia, or from the sons of Persia, would reach up and bring it down."
قال حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن جعفر الجزري عن يزيد بن الأصم
قال رسول الله ﷺ لو كان الدين عند الثريا لذهب رجل من فارس أو أبناء فارس حتى يتناوله
Its isnad is sahih. Jafar the Jazari is Jafar bin Barqan Kullabi. Muslim narrated this hadith (2:274-275) through Abdul-Razzaq, with this same isnad. Something similar in meaning has already passed at 7937, narrated by Shahr bin Hawshab, from Abu Hurairah, and we noted this there.
