I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Friday is a day of celebration, so do not make your day of celebration a day of fasting, unless you fast the day before it or the day after it."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن معاوية يعني ابن صالح عن أبي بشر عن عامر بن لدين الأشعري
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن يوم الجمعة يوم عيد فلا تجعلوا يوم عيدكم يوم صيامكم إلا أن تصوموا قبله أو بعده
