The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a Muslim, or a believing, servant performs ablution and washes his face, every sin he looked at with his eyes leaves his face along with the water, or with the last drop of water, or something to that effect. When he washes his hands, every sin his hands committed leaves them along with the water, or with the last drop of water, until he emerges cleansed of sins."
قال قرأت على عبد الرحمن: مالك عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا توضأ العبد المسلم أو المؤمن فغسل وجهه خرجت من وجهه كل خطيئة نظر إليها بعينه مع الماء أو مع آخر قطر الماء أو نحو هذا فإذا غسل يديه خرجت من يديه كل خطيئة بطش بها مع الماء أو مع آخر قطر الماء حتى يخرج نقيا من الذنوب
