The Prophet ﷺ said, "My nation will be destroyed by this clan of Quraysh."They asked, "What do you command us to do, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "If only the people would keep away from them."Ubayy said during the illness in which he died, "Strike out this hadith, for it contradicts the other hadiths from the Prophet ﷺ," meaning his statement, "Listen, obey, and be patient."

عن النبي ﷺ قال يهلك أمتي هذا الحي من قريش قالوا فما تأمرنا يا رسول الله قال لو أن الناس اعتزلوهم و قال أبي في مرضه الذي مات فيه اضرب على هذا الحديث فإنه خلاف الأحاديث عن النبي ﷺ يعني قوله اسمعوا وأطيعوا واصبروا
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Tayah, with a doubled ya, is Yazid bin Humayd Dubi, with the dad vowelled with damma and the ba vowelled with fatha. He is firmly reliable, reliable, as Imam Ahmad said. His reliability was already established at 689 and 5016, and we add here that Ibn Saad gave his biography at 7/2/8, and Ibn Abu Hatim at 4/2/256. It is a sahih hadith, agreed upon as sahih, narrated by the two Shaykhs as you see.As for Imam Ahmad's statement to his son during his final illness, "Strike out this hadith," this was perhaps a precaution on his part, may Allah have mercy on him, out of fear that it might be understood that withdrawing from them means rebelling against them, and in rebellion there is great corruption, including the division of unity it brings about, and the breaking of the bond of obedience involved in it. But in reality, what is meant by withdrawal is that a person should safeguard his religion, not entering with them into avenues of corruption, and keep his religion clear of turmoil.See what has already passed at 7858 and 7961.
