A man who had drunk wine was brought before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Strike him."Some of us struck him with our hands, some with our sandals, and some with our garments. When it was over, one of the people said, "May Allah disgrace you."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not speak like this. Do not help Satan against him. Rather, say, 'May Allah have mercy on you.'"
حدثنا أنس بن عياض حدثني يزيد بن عبد الله بن الهاد عن محمد بن إبراهيم عن أبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ أتي برجل قد شرب فقال رسول الله ﷺ اضربوه قال فمنا الضارب بيده ومنا الضارب بنعله والضارب بثوبه فلما انصرف قال بعض القوم أخزاك الله قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تقولوا هكذا لا تعينوا عليه الشيطان ولكن قولوا رحمك الله
