The Prophet ﷺ said, "The womb of kinship is a branch attached to the Most Merciful . On the Day of Resurrection it will come forward and say, 'My Lord, I was severed. My Lord, I was wronged. My Lord, I was treated badly.'"
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Muhammad bin Abdul-Jabbar Ansari is trustworthy. Bukhari mentioned him in al-Kabir 1/1/169 without noting any criticism of him, and Ibn Abu Hatim mentioned him in 4/1/15, quoting his father as saying, "A shaykh." Ibn Hibban also mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators.Muhammad bin Kaab bin Sulaym Qurazi, Abu Hamza, was a trustworthy successor, learned, with many hadiths, and pious. Bukhari mentioned him in al-Kabir 1/1/216 and in al-Saghir, p. 116, and Ibn Abu Hatim mentioned him in 4/1/67.The hadith appears in Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan 7:374, and will come again at 8963 and 9262 from Affan, and at 9871 from Muhammad bin Jafar and Hajjaj, that is Ibn Muhammad, and Affan, and at 9872 from Abu Walid, all four from Shubah. At its end there is an addition, "He said, 'So He answers her, are you not pleased that I maintain ties with whoever maintains ties with you, and cut off whoever cuts you off?'"Bukhari also related it in Adab al-Mufrad, p. 13, from Hajjaj bin Minhal, from Shubah, at greater length, and Ibn Hibban likewise related it in his Sahih at 442 through Muhammad bin Kathir Abdi, and at 444 through Abdul-Samad, 847, both of them from Shubah [1:492, 493 of the manuscript of al-Ihsan]. Hakim likewise related it in al-Mustadrak 4:162 through Amr bin Marzuq, and through Muhammad bin Jafar, both of them from Shubah. Hakim said, "This is a hadith sahih in isnad, and the two of them did not include it." Dhahabi agreed with him.Haythami mentioned it in Majma al-Zawaid, 149-150, and said, "Ahmad related it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, apart from Muhammad bin Abdul-Jabbar, and he is trustworthy." Munziri mentioned it in al-Targhib wal-Tarhib 3:226 and said, "Ahmad related it with a strong, sound isnad, and Ibn Hibban in his Sahih."Bukhari related part of its meaning in his Sahih, 10:350, from the hadith of Abu Salih from Abu Hurairah as a raised report, "The womb is a branch derived from the Merciful. Allah said, 'Whoever maintains ties with you, I maintain ties with him, and whoever cuts you off, I cut him off.'" This hadith is found only in Bukhari, not in the rest of the six books. See 1651, 2956, 6494, 6524, and what will come at 8349.As for shijnah, its meaning was explained earlier at 1651, and we add here the statement of Hafiz in al-Fath, "Shijnah, with the shin vowelled with kasra and the jim silent followed by a nun, has also come with the first letter vowelled with damma and with fatha as a variant reading and as a dialectal form. The root meaning of shijnah is the intertwined roots of a tree."
