Abu Hurayrah, when death approached him, said, "Do not pitch a tent over me, do not follow my bier with incense, and carry me swiftly. For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'When a righteous man is placed on his bier, he says, "Take me forward, take me forward." And when a wicked man is placed on his bier, he says, "Woe to him! Where are you taking me?"'"
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب عن المقبري
أن أبا هريرة قال حين حضره الموت لا تضربوا علي فسطاطا ولا تتبعوني بمجمر وأسرعوا بي فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إذا وضع الرجل الصالح على سريره قال قدموني قدموني وإذا وضع الرجل السوء على سريره قال يا ويله أين تذهبون بي
