The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If he becomes intoxicated, flog him. If he becomes intoxicated again, flog him. If he becomes intoxicated again, flog him. And if he returns to it a fourth time, strike his neck."Zuhri said, A man who had become intoxicated for the fourth time was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he let him go.
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن عن أبي سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن سكر فاجلدوه ثم إن سكر فاجلدوه فإن عاد في الرابعة فاضربوا عنقه قال الزهري فأتي رسول الله ﷺ برجل سكران في الرابعة فخلى سبيله
Its isnad is sahih, except for Zuhri's statement at the end, which is a daif mursal hadith. Harith bin Abdul-Rahman, his reliability was already established at 1640, and it was noted there that he is the maternal uncle of Ibn Abu Dhib. What can be added here is that Ibn Abu Hatim gave him a biographical entry at 80/2/1. Musab Zubayri also mentioned him in Nasab Quraysh, page 423, stating that he is Harith bin Abdul-Rahman bin Harith, and that his sister Rabia bint Abdul-Rahman bin Harith bin Abu Dhib is the mother of Ibn Abu Dhib, who is Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Mughira bin Harith bin Abu Dhib. So this Harith is both the maternal uncle of Ibn Abu Dhib and the paternal cousin of his father.This hadith will come again with this same isnad at 10554, without Zuhri's mursal statement that appears at the end here. It has also already appeared without it at 7748, through the route of Suhayl bin Abu Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurairah.
