He forbade resting one's hands on the hips during prayer. The narrator said, "We asked Hisham, 'What does resting on the hips mean?'"He replied, "It means a man placing his hand on his waist while he is praying."Yazid said, "We asked Hisham, 'Did he report this from the Prophet ﷺ?'"He nodded with his head, indicating yes.
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a repetition of 7175, except that here there is an explicit statement raising it to the Prophet ﷺ. Bukhari related it in 3:70 from the hadith of Hammad, from Ayub, from Ibn Sirin as well, with the wording "it was forbidden," using the passive form that does not name the doer. Bukhari then said after it, "Hisham and Abu Hilal said, from Ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ." This is a reference to the narration of Hisham bin Hassan, which is the one given here.
