Its isnad is sahih. Ubaydullah is the son of Hafs bin Asim, Umari. It occurs in Q and H as Abdullah, in the non-diminutive form, but we corrected it based on K and Sahih Muslim.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 1:400, through Ibn Numayr and Abu Usama, both of them from Ubaydullah, with the same wording. In the narration of Ibn Numayr there is an addition explaining the marriage of exchange. Ahmad's narration of it from Ibn Numayr will come at 9625 and 10443. Hafiz noted in Fath al-Bari, 9:140, that the narration of Ibn Numayr indicates that the explanation of the marriage of exchange contained in it is part of the hadith text attributed directly to the Prophet.The explanation of the marriage of exchange has already appeared in the commentary on the hadith of Ibn Umar, 4526, and from Malik, in the text of the hadith 5289, see also 7012 and 7027.
