The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs a prayer in which he does not recite the Mother of the Quran, it is deficient, it is deficient, incomplete."Abu Saaib said to Abu Hurairah, "Sometimes I am behind the imam."Abu Saaib said, Abu Hurairah pressed my arm and said, "Persian, recite it silently to yourself. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, Allah said, 'I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he asks for. Half of it is for Me and half of it is for My servant.'"Abu Hurairah said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Recite. The servant says, 'All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds' [Fatihah 1:2], and Allah says, 'My servant has praised Me.' The servant says, 'The Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful' [Fatihah 1:3], and Allah says, 'My servant has extolled Me.' The servant says, 'Master of the Day of Judgment' [Fatihah 1:4], and Allah says, 'My servant has glorified Me.'"He said, "This is between Me and My servant. The servant says, 'You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help' [Fatihah 1:5]."He said, "This is shared between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for. My servant says, 'Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned Your anger or of those who have gone astray' [Fatihah 1:6–7]."Allah
says, "This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for."

Its isnad is sahih. It is a repetition of 7289, but that one is narrated by Ala bin Abdul-Rahman from his father, from Abu Hurairah. This one is narrated by Ala, from Abu Saaib, from Abu Hurairah, who heard it from both of them. We have already explained the sourcing of it in detail and pointed to this there, and it has also passed in abridged form at 7400, narrated by Ala, from Abu Saaib, where he says, Abu Saaib said to Abu Hurairah, "Sometimes I am..." In kh and m it appears as "Ibn Saaib said," which is an error we have corrected from k and from Jami al-Masanid 7:442–443. Two further isnads for this will follow shortly, without repeating its wording.
