The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has not granted permission for anything as He has granted permission for one who" - Abdul-Razzaq said - "chants the Quran melodiously."A companion of his added, "with regard to what he recites aloud."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر وعبد الرزاق قالا أخبرنا ابن جريج وقال عبد الرزاق في حديثه أخبرني ابن شهاب عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن أنه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لم يأذن الله لشيء ما أذن لمن قال عبد الرزاق لمن يتغنى بالقرآن قال صاحب له زاد فيما يجهر به
Its chain of transmission is sahih, and it is a repetition of 7657. As for his statement, "a companion of his said, he added, 'in what he recites aloud,'" this unnamed companion could possibly be Muhammad bin Ibrahim Taymi. Muslim (1:219) narrated this hadith through the route of Yazid bin Had, from Muhammad bin Ibrahim, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, with the wording, "he chants the Quran, reciting it aloud." We have already pointed to Muslim's version in the commentary on that hadith.
