A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am ruined, Messenger of Allah!"The Prophet asked, "What has happened?"The man replied, "I had relations with my wife during Ramadan."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Can you find a Raqaba to free?"He answered, "No."The Prophet asked, "Are you able to fast two consecutive months?"He said, "No, Messenger of Allah."The Prophet asked, "Then can you feed sixty poor people?"He replied, "I cannot find the means, Messenger of Allah."Then a large basket of dates was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Take this and give it away in charity."The man said, "To someone poorer than me? By the One who sent you with the truth, there is no household between the two lava plains of Madinah more in need of it than mine."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed, then said, "Take it and feed your family."
