Its isnad is sahih. Fitr is Ibn Khalifa, and he is trustworthy as we said at 730, so no attention should be paid to the statement of Ibn Yunus, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, and Juzjani in declaring him daif, rather this is a rejected statement, as noted in Awn al-Mabud, especially since Bukhari gave him a biographical entry in Kabir 4/1/139 and mentioned no criticism of him. Fitr is with a kasra on the fa and a sakin on the ta, and in one copy it appears as Qatr with a qaf, which is a scribal error. Qasim bin Abu Bazza is trustworthy. Abu Tufayl is Amir bin Wathila. Habib in the second isnad is Habib bin Abu Thabit.The summary of this is that Ahmad narrated it from Hajjaj and Abu Naeem, from Fitr, from Qasim, from Abu Tufayl, and he also narrated it from Abu Naeem alone, from Fitr, from Habib, from Abu Tufayl. The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 4:174, from Uthman bin Abu Shayba, from Fadl bin Dukayn, who is Abu Naeem, from Fitr, from Qasim, from Abu Tufayl. He said in Awn al-Mabud, "Munziri remained silent about it... its chain is hasan and strong." See also 645.
