Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes from sleep and wishes to perform ablution, he should not dip his hand into the vessel until he has first poured water over it, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق وابن بكر أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني زياد أن ثابتا مولى عبد الرحمن بن زيد وقال ابن بكر أخبره أنه

سمع أبا هريرة يقول

قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا كان أحدكم نائما ثم استيقظ فأراد الوضوء فلا يضع يده في الإناء حتى يصب على يده فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده
