The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The merit of praying in congregation over praying alone is twenty-five times, and the angels of the night and the angels of the day gather together at the dawn prayer."Then Abu Hurairah said, "Recite, if you wish, 'And the recital of dawn. Indeed, the recital of dawn is ever witnessed'" [Isra 17:78].
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ فضل صلاة الجمع على صلاة الواحد خمس وعشرون وتجتمع ملائكة الليل وملائكة النهار في صلاة الصبح قال ثم يقول أبو هريرة واقرءوا إن شئتم {وقرآن الفجر إن قرآن الفجر كان مشهودا}
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it, 8:302, through Abdul-Razzaq with this same isnad, but he added in it "from Abu Salama and Ibn Musayab." Something similar has already passed at 7185, from the narration of Abdul-Ala from Mamar, from Zuhri, from Ibn Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, and part of it has already passed at 7574, from the narration of Zuhri from Ibn Musayab.As for his saying "twenty-five," this is how it appears in the three original manuscripts, while in Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan, 7:464-465, it reads "twenty-five degrees," which is the correct form grammatically, and it agrees with Bukhari's wording.
