The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Muslim eats with one stomach, while the disbeliever eats with seven."
حدثني يزيد أخبرنا محمد عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
قال رسول الله ﷺ المسلم يأكل في معى واحد والكافر يأكل في سبعة أمعاء
Its isnad is sahih. Malik also related it in Muwatta, with similar wording, p. 924, from Abu Zinad with this same isnad. Bukhari related it, 9:468, by way of Malik. Muslim related it, 2:148, and Ibn Majah, 3256, through two other routes from Abu Hurairah. Its meaning has already appeared several times in the hadith of Ibn Umar, the first instance being 4718 and the last 6321, and we explained it at the first occurrence. The Hafiz spoke at length about it in Fath al-Bari, in his commentary and its various narrations, 9:468-472.
