I heard Abu Hurayrah, and Marwan passed by him and said, "Tell us some of your hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," or, "your hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Then he walked on.We said, "Now he is going to lay into him."Marwan came back and asked, "How did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray over funerals?"Abu Hurayrah replied, "I heard him say, 'You created her, You provided for her, You guided her to Islam, and You have taken her soul. You know her secret and her open deeds. We have come as intercessors, so forgive her.'"
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا شعبة عن الجلاس
سمعت أبا هريرة ومر عليه مروان فقال بعض حديثك عن رسول الله ﷺ أو حديثك عن رسول الله ﷺ ثم رجع فقلنا الآن يقع به قال كيف سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي على جنائز قال سمعته يقول أنت خلقتها وأنت رزقتها وأنت هديتها للإسلام وأنت قبضت روحها تعلم سرها وعلانيتها جئنا شفعاء فاغفر لها
