The Prophet ﷺ ordered the killing of the two black creatures during prayer, the scorpion and the snake.
حدثنا سفيان قال حفظت عن معمر عن يحيى أخبره عن ضمضم
أن النبي ﷺ أمر بقتل الأسودين في الصلاة العقرب والحية
Its isnad is sahih. Yahya is Ibn Abu Kathir. The hadith is a repeat of 7178, from Muhammad bin Jafar, from Mamar, with this isnad, similarly. Sufyan's statement, "I memorized it from Mamar," appears in K and S as, "I memorized it."
