Ahmad 7271

Its isnad is sahih. Abu Umama bin Sahl bin Hunayf, his biography has already been given at 2520. This hadith is a repetition of 7265m, where Ahmad narrated it there from Sufyan from Zuhri from Ibn Musayab from Abu Hurairah. Hafiz said in Fath, 3:147, this is what Sufyan said, and Mamar and Ibn Abu Hafsa followed him in this, as found in Muslim. But Yunus differed from them, saying, from Zuhri, Abu Umama bin Sahl told me, from Abu Hurairah. This is to be understood as meaning that Zuhri had two teachers for it, and this is the correct view. The narration given here is the narration of Yunus from Zuhri from Abu Umama.Ahmad said following this hadith, Sufyan agreed with Mamar and Ibn Abu Hafsa. The narration of Ibn Abu Hafsa will come after this narration, and will come again at 7760. The narration of Mamar will come at 7759. This hadith will also come again from the narration of Yunus, like this narration, at 7761.Muslim also narrated it, 1:258-259, by way of Mamar, and by way of Ibn Abu Hafsa, both of them from Zuhri from Ibn Musayab. He also narrated it by way of Yunus bin Yazid from Zuhri from Abu Umama.This hadith has another sahih isnad, from another route from Abu Hurairah, which will come at 10337, from the narration of Ayub from Nafi from Abu Hurairah. Hafiz did not point to this route.
